Defining Volunteer Roles

Administration and Data Entry

Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, record- keeping, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and maintaining Neighbor information. Help generate reports on food distribution and track inventory levels.

Social Media

Assist with developing and implementing Content Creation, Scheduling Posts, Community Engagement, Promoting Events and Campaigns, Photography & Videography, Fundraising Campaigns and Educational Content.

Community Outreach

Develop and implement outreach programs to raise awareness about the food pantry’s services. Collaborate with local
organizations, businesses, and media to promote the pantry and organize food drives.

Volunteer Coordination

Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers. Keep track of schedules communicate with volunteers, and ensure that all roles are adequately filled during operating hours.

Special Events

Special event volunteers assist at fundraising events and other community events.

Language Interpreter

Assist with language barriers by providing interpretation services for Neighbors who may not be fluent in the predominant language spoken at the food pantry.
